Register of Private Hospitals NSW 1910-1928 (book or CD) indexes records from State Records NSW (5/5857 - 5/5860).
The index includes the name of the hospital; its location; whether the admission was medical and surgical; lying-in, convalescent, or a combination; the names of the licensee, resident manager (usually the licensee) and the resident assistant; and the reference number of the original State Records NSW register.
Once you find the information that you are interested in, use the reference number to access the original records where you can find additional information - the date of the Board's recommendations and approvals; the total number of beds; the period of the licence and the renewals.
Space is also provided for recording the correspondence number and approval relating to alterations and additions to the hospital.
